Over the years, Garrison Manufacturing has earned a reputation for its development of a wide range of superior quality, rugged, durable, standard and custom products. We manufacture hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders as well as heavy vehicle power steering products, such as cylinders, control valves and linkage components.
All cylinders are made of top quality steel, and are manufactured with the highest precision on state-of- the-art machinery. Each and every cylinder is quality inspected and hydraulically tested before it reaches the customer.
To meet your specific configuration requirements, both steering products and welded cylinders are available in your choice of material, pressure, stroke length, and mounting.
Welded Hydraulic Cylinders
Welded cylinders are routinely available in bore sizes between 1” and 6” and a rated pressure of up to 5000 PSI. We also have produced and have the capability to produce certain configurations with bore sizes between 6” – 10” and up to 10,000 psi. We use Robotic, Submerged-Arc and Manual Welding processes as appropriate, to ensure strong and leak free performance.
Tie-Rod Hydraulic Cylinders
We sell Tie-Rod cylinders, both in standard sizes and custom configurations, 2” – 5” bore in a variety of mounting configurations.
Pneumatic Cylinders
We manufacture and sell pneumatic cylinders in regular steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum and composite.
Steering Cylinders
The Garrison proprietary hydraulic power steering cylinders have been on the market from the 1950s. Bore Diameters 2” – 4”. Strokes 6.5” – 17”. In addition, we also provide specialized cylinders for requirements up to 3500 psi.
Steering Control Values
The Garrison G21 series power steering valve is designed for installation in the vehicle steering drag link. It can be installed on either the ball stud of the axle steering arm or on the stud of the steering gear arm. The advantage of the Garrison “Valve-in-Linkage” type of power steering is simplicity and ease of installation, be it on the OEM assembly line or in the field. As an added safety factor, “Valve-in-Linkage” power steering permits manual steering in the event of accidental power failure. Valves can be supplied with the proper reaction area to obtain the desired degree of road feel, providing decreasing or increasing effort on the steering wheel. The G21 series valves accommodate ball socket sizes of 1.5” and 1.75” diameter. They come in 5-20 gpm capacity ratings.
Draglinks
The Garrison drag link assemblies can be bent, formed and threaded to conform to individual production requirements. The standard versions take 1.5” or 1.75” diameter ball stud, up to 84”. We also manufacture and supply custom Draglinks.
Steering Linkage components
Garrison Ball Studs come in 1” – 2” diameter and a variety of thread sizes and lengths. We also produce horizontal ball sockets for the different ball studs and vertical ball sockets that come in both male and female versions. The tie-rod clamps accommodate tie-rod sizes of 1”-2.5” and ball stud sizes of 1” – 2” diameter.
